In the early months of World War I, during the Christmas of 1914, something incredible happened: the soldiers face German, French and English emerged from the trenches and became friends. Played football, they exchanged chocolate, talk about their families and they photographed while toasted. This was not only an episode, but a real movement that involved two thirds of the face. Just watching the letters were discovered by the soldiers was more what was happening. There was thus an Alliance of Intent between the power of the top three nations opposing the soldiers were removed immediately to resume the war (the Act provided for the shooting but that became intractable given the number of soldiers involved).
World War I in danger of ending because of the friendship between soldiers. It 's inevitable to wonder how history would change if a world war ended so quickly and because of' Friendship between Soldiers'. E 'equally inevitable wondering why this Christmas Truce is not yet officially entered the history but it is only for some niche topic history buff.
is interesting how these truces were born. It was the German soldiers (who are dressed only in our minds by Nazi soldiers) to make the first move, turning especially to British soldiers. Many Germans at that time had emigrated to England to live and work closely with the UK population. They were therefore immune from the long racist campaign developed by the German Government against the British population. When they were called home to fight the bad English is found to kill those they considered bad neighbors and inept. Many English German immigrants knew in their homeland and thus responded positively to the messages of the enemy trenches. This shows that the direct knowledge and unfiltered opinion of some, is the true antidote to racism. There are few documents about the Christmas Truce. They are very important although they tend to limit it to an episode from the novel and not a real movement historically significant. "The little peace in the Great War" is a book by Michael Jurgs. The most famous French film "Joyeux Noel" released in 2005 by Christian Carion. The film includes some incidents which occurred in different parts of the face in one episode. The parties which does not correspond to real facts are the least successful: for example the figure women did not exist in reality and provoke dialogue was, as told in the film, an opera singer at the front but as a guest and not as a soldier. The vicinity of the trenches allowed the French soldiers heard the singing of the German tenor (famous at the time) and the French Bear, who loves classical music, he recognized the voice of the tenor and clap along with all the troops, the German soft left the trenches asking who had applauded, bringing with it a Christmas tree to be light, the French went too Keep the trench to compliment the content and from there came the truce on that front. The film is shown another version, certainly interesting, but not more than this original.
